Our client is an Independent SEN provision for students 11-16 years with additional needs.
The school works with at-risk students who have been disengaged from the education system for a significant period.
Students are unable to access mainstream education for a variety of reasons and require a bespoke curriculum, a flexible timetable and smaller class sizes to access the National Curriculum.
Moreover, students have often experienced childhood trauma, adverse experiences and may be living in disadvantaged areas, often arriving at the school with little or no aspirations for their future.
The school works closely with students, families, social workers, and youth offending teams to deliver a holistic approach to education and development though a trauma informed lens.
Through the school’s program, they focus on addressing the core issues that learners may have missed out on due to life events that have destabilized their early years, resulting in behaviour issues in later years. This school is diverse, welcoming, accepting and passionate about being the best they can be.
